About Me
My name is Christina Austin and I am happy to be finally dusting off my skills as an historian to be working on this podcast. I have a Master’s Degree in Public History but I have not really been using it, well, since I got it.
Although I am Canadian, I have been fascinated with the late Georgian and Regency Eras for many years. I have slowly but surely been accumulating books on the period for my own collection. There are innumerable topics that I want to cover over the course of this podcast. I plan on covering: fashion, food, politics, the Peninsular War, biographies of major personalities of the day, everyday life, gender history, social upheaval, poverty, crime & punishment, spies, and royalty.
